In Bihar a large number of stranded laborers are now returning to other states. The Bihar government has changed the strategy for the stay of migrant laborers in the Quarantine Center. The state government has selected only 11 such Corona-affected cities, where the returned laborers will be made compulsory to stay in the government quarantine.
Over 13 lakh migrant laborers have returned from different parts of the country in the state of Bihar in the last three weeks. According to the rules set by the state government, all these migrant laborers are being kept in government quarantine centers. Arrangements for three time meals are being made for the workers kept in the quarantine centers. In the coming 10 days, about 20 lakh migrant laborers will return from other states in Bihar.

Now the problem is arising in front of the Bihar government to settle the workers. Around 6000 quarantine centers have been set up in Bihar, where migrant laborers have been appointed. In such a situation, if the other workers return, it may be difficult for the government to arrange for them to stay. Due to these difficulties, the state government has changed the strategy of accommodating the migrant laborers in quarantine centers.

2 list made for migrant laborers

Principal Secretary, Disaster Department, Government of Bihar has written a letter to all the District Magistrates, in which the migrant laborers returning from different parts of the country have been divided into two parts. The first list will include such migrant laborers who have returned to Bihar from 11 cities. Where the risk of corona infection is highest.

People from 11 cities must stay in Quarantine Center

Workers who return to Bihar from Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Surat, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, Bengaluru and Kolkata will have to stay in the government quarantine center for 14 days. If the symptoms of Kovid-19 are not seen in these laborers, then they will be allowed to go home again. During this time, they will have to stay in the home quarantine.

Other workers will have to stay quarantine

Apart from these cities, any migrant laborers who come back from any part of the country will be placed in the second category. According to the changed rules, such laborers will have to stay in the home quarantine for 14 days. These people will be monitored by the health department as well as the district administration. If during the primary screening, second class migrant workers show signs of Kovid-19, then they will be kept in government quarantine centers.
